Been eyeing this for a while and I'm excited to have it now!

I wonder if you would be willing to clarify the exact procedure, as I'm struggling somewhat to grasp the intersection of narrative moments with combat, and how combat scenes are generated and initiated. At my current understanding, I would not be able to chart the intended flow of missions/vows beyond that fighting a boss is necessary.

I know how to progress to narrative after a fight ends, but not quite where it goes from there, or if there are any mechanical requirements to fight non boss enemies. I may just house rule some things, or perhaps leaving room for that is even the intention. I may be trying to approach it more mechanics first than it was written to be.

I also wonder how stats work exactly, as two different spreads are listed, and I don't think there were instructions to raise stats at any point. I also am not sure if there are any factors to consider when selecting which stat to roll for certain moves, beyond narrative flavor or stat strength.

Last I would ask if there is any additional procedure specifically for fighting multiple enemies at once, beyond giving them each tracks.

Question - starting health is +8 or Stamina +8 ?

Bought some time ago too. I've been wondering, if possible to make simple variant for printing. Maybe reference sheet.

Good idea, I'll put something together. I just started working on a bunch of new stuff for this so shouldn't be super far out.

Bought right now. Nice design, all mechanics in place. But if you looking for how to create story/adventure, as samples or hooks, starter adventure - its not there (at least at the moment). Was good to have something, at least some hooks - it not takes plenty time to write it, but it will be great.

I'd really like to port in some city gen tech I've built for other games. Esp now that I've had way more experience doing tables for OSR-adjacent dungeons and game systems I think I could do something neat with this.

Purchased my copy. Awesome work. Would VERY much appreciate a nice, extended example of play that covers as much as it can. Also, a sample adventure, maybe. And the rules for group play would be great as well.

This is a great game! already got it through the solo but not alone bundle and would love to purchase the game again to help but the only option I'm getting is paypal which I do not use. Any reason why that´s the only option?

Hey! That's so sweet of you, thank you! Unfortunately I have no idea why that'd be happening. I'll poke around and see if there's anything I can do to fix it, but I deeply appreciate you trying regardless!

Just finished reading this - super cool! I'm a little lost on the concept of control, would reading Ironsworn clear that up for me?

Thank you so much! Very possibly, I struggled with Control when I first started playing Ironsworn too, it helped me to think of it as a token I gain or lose during actions, so if an action says "Gain control" I get the token, and if it says "Lose Control" I lose, and several moves require you to have the token before you use them. Like I said, took me a little while to get it but it's a really satisfying way to model that narrative push-pull of a fight.

For the next version update on this, I'll include an example of play around Control to make sure its a little clearer, thanks for the feedback!

Oh yeah, the token thing really clears it up! Thanks for responding - I’m really looking forward to playing with this and seeing where it goes!
